Customer Reviews

We loved the trunk in hand programme very much. Just 2 people per elephant, close encounters, educational, enough time. Best day in our holiday! - J. Bijsterveld-Visser

Best experience with a wild animal, memorable. Would recommend it to everyone visiting the area! - Moses Mhlanga

A lovely and memorable experience with gentle giants. - Andrea Ferreira

This was the single most amazing experience of my life. To be able to get up and close to two male elephants and interact with them was so humbling. Their handlers were amazing and did not rush us at all - instead they encouraged us to touch them, feed them, talk to them and even hug them. I was moved to tears by the whole experience - there are no words to describe the feeling of leaning on an elephants side and feeling him breathing and I even hugged Casper's trunk (the length of his trunk is taller than I am at 5"5) and if I do say so myself I think he fell as much in love with me as I did with him :-) - he even gave me a kiss I definitely recommend this experience to everyone. - Nicole Burn

Visiting the Hazyview Elephant Sanctuary was the highlight of our trip. The guide, Sheppard, was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The elephant handlers were outstanding in their knowledge of the animals in their care. They conveyed confidence and trust and my family and I felt perfectly at ease knowing we were in their safe hands. Well done. I suggest you sell T-shirts saying: "I hugged an African Elephant", and, "I was kissed by an elephant"!! - Johan Jansen van Vuuren
